Greenwood Flying Monkeys Name Adam Brumley as First General Manager
GREENWOOD, S.C. — The Greenwood Flying Monkeys have named Adam Brumley as the team’s first General Manager ahead of the 2026 season, bringing a proven leader in operations, sales, and community engagement to the organization.
Brumley currently serves as President of the Greenwood Abbeville Little League, where he has overseen significant growth and impact within the local baseball community. Since taking on that role, he has helped nearly double player participation while building strong relationships with local sponsors and families.
In addition to his work in youth baseball, Brumley brings extensive professional experience in team leadership, business development and operational management. He has led teams of more than a dozen employees, driven revenue growth and managed large-scale operations across multiple organizations, including roles in sales leadership and technical operations.
“I’m incredibly honored and excited to serve as General Manager of the Greenwood Flying Monkeys this season,” said Brumley. “Greenwood’s rich baseball tradition makes this opportunity even more meaningful, and I’m eager to play a role in building on that legacy. I’m looking forward to watching this team come together and seeing the impact we can make both on the field and in our community.”
The Flying Monkeys will compete in the Blue Ridge League and play home games at historic Legion Field, a former Minor League Baseball venue with deep roots in the region’s baseball history. The team's first home game will be in early June with the full schedule coming out this month.
As General Manager, Brumley will oversee all aspects of the organization’s day-to-day operations, including sponsorship development, community outreach, and the fan experience as the team prepares for its inaugural season.
“Our goal this season is to create a game-day experience that the whole family can enjoy,” Brumley added. “Whether you’re a lifelong baseball fan or simply curious about the new team, we want every visit to be fun, welcoming, and memorable. There’s nothing quite like a summer at the ballpark, and we’re excited to bring that energy to life while continuing to grow and enhance the experience in the years ahead—because baseball should always be fun, and we can’t wait to share that with you.”
Brumley’s track record of building teams, driving growth, and strengthening community partnerships positions the Flying Monkeys for a strong launch in Greenwood. His leadership marks a major step forward as the organization continues to build momentum heading into 2026.
"We couldn't be happier than to have Adam in this role," said Blue Ridge League chairman Greg Sullivan. "We wanted someone who loves Greenwood and who also truly knows it and the region. He knows the baseball culture here and has the kind of passion for the game and love of community that makes someone a success in this job."
