Flying Monkeys host Hometown Heroes Night this Friday

The Greenwood Flying Monkeys will host Hometown Heroes Night this Friday, July 17, as the team honors Officer Don “DJ” Keller and recognizes local first responders, military members, educators and healthcare professionals.

First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Legion Field as the Flying Monkeys take on the Joanna Hornets.

Special merchandise honoring Officer Keller will be available at the game, with all proceeds benefiting his family.

All active and retired first responders and military personnel, along with educators and healthcare professionals, will receive free admission.

Fans are encouraged to pack Legion Field, help honor Officer Keller and the community’s hometown heroes, and enjoy a special night of Blue Ridge League baseball.
